Swapo share of vote down slightly in Walvis Bay Urban - 78% to 76%. RDP coming in at 14%. Swapo's numbers also down by 1500 votes on 2004. As stated below, increased voter numbers for Swapo in the north may make up for these small percentage losses further south. CoD wipeout continues unabated.

Swapo has lost 5% of its share of the vote in Windhoek West since 2004 - down from 55% to 50%. Such reductions in vote share in the south and central areas may well be compensated by the increased turnout for the party in much of the central north. Forecasts for Swapo seat numbers seem to vary between 54 and 56 at the moment. Much of the central north has seen greater numbers of voters going to the polls, while those numbers are down in most other regions. This may mean that predictions that the quota of votes for one seat will be around 13,000 may be too high.
